Newport News, Va. – Jerry Robertson has accepted the new position of Senior Advisor based at the GENEDGE office in Newport News located at 12350 Jefferson Avenue, Suite 150.

Jerry’s role will be to help GENEDGE establish stronger relationships within the Hampton Roads region. “I am looking forward to being part of the GENEDGE family offering a hand to Virginia industries,” Jerry commented. “Having worked with GENEDGE in the past, I see the value GENEDGE brings and am excited to be part of their work with Hampton Roads companies.”

The Senior Advisor position will involve building awareness of and developing connections to GENEDGE, its services, and its economic development initiatives in the Hampton Roads area.

Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics and a Master of Science in Engineering Mechanics from Old Dominion University. Jerry comes to GENEDGE from Manufacturing Consultants in Norfolk where he was a consultant to the manufacturing sector for five years. Previously he served as Associate Vice President of the ODU Business Gateway and as Director of the Technology Applications Center at ODU. Jerry is a Licensed Professional Engineer with expertise in stress and strain analysis, machining technology, lead paint issues, and abatement.
