GENEDGE Hires Lewis Bowman as Process Improvement Practice Manager


Newport News, Va. – Lewis Bowman recently accepted the position of Process Improvement Practice Manager based in the Newport News office, and will report to Tony Cerilli, Vice President of Operations.

“As Practice Manager for Process Improvement, I am excited about the opportunity to collaborate with the GENEDGE Industrial Development organization and other members of the Operations team, to enable sustainable industrial growth in Virginia,” stated Lewis.

Lewis is filling a critical role to help clients address significant problems and opportunities. He will lead all facets of the Process Improvement Practice area where he will manage development and delivery of new and enhanced service offerings. Teaming with GENEDGE Regional Growth Managers, he will utilize process improvement methodologies to assess client problems, develop solutions and assure timely and on point delivery. In addition, Lewis is tasked with growing a service delivery resource base of highly capable third parties. Lewis is also the designated GENEDGE advisor to the Old Dominion University Makerspace, a unique innovation hub sponsored by the Batten College of Engineering and Technology and supported in part by GENEDGE.

Lewis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Engineering Management from Christian Brothers University. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME).
