April Schmidt Now Leads Organizational Development Practice For GENEDGE

Newport News, Va. – GENEDGE is pleased to announce that April Schmidt recently joined the organization as the Organizational Development (OD) Practice Manager based in Newport News.

April’s management responsibilities include the development, marketing and delivery of highly relevant OD products and services to GENEDGE’s client base. She brings the ability to assess organizational strengths and needs, design and deliver leadership and other development programs that strategically align and maximize employee satisfaction and contributions. Through her direct services, and a cadre of highly qualified third-party providers, GENEDGE will be well positioned to support customer’s needs in today's market, as clients are increasingly challenged to attract and retain the talent needed to be locally and globally competitive.

April has a diverse background and experience in a variety of settings including healthcare, higher education, non-profit and industry. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Master’s Degree in Social Work, and Master’s in Management & Organizational Behavior. She holds numerous quality certifications including: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, Lean Facilitator, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, and food safety certifications including: HACCP, SQF and PCQI for Human and Animal Food. She is a member of the ASQ Lean Enterprise Division Management Committee, AME Southeast Regional Board, and University of Richmond CX Advisory Member.
