Bruce Vlk

Program Manager

Bruce Vlk serves as the Program Manager for GENEDGE, where he partners with leaders across the technology, engineering, and manufacturing sectors to strengthen economic growth in Virginia and beyond. In this role, he oversees a portfolio of state and federal grant programs and leads business development initiatives to advance industry innovation and competitiveness.

Before joining GENEDGE, Bruce directed public–private infrastructure initiatives sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy. He is an experienced administrator with a strong background in state government and higher education. During his tenure at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, he managed programs which highlighted innovative Virginia companies.

Bruce holds a MPA from James Madison University and a graduate certificate in leadership and human resources from the University of Virginia. He is also a recent graduate of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Leaders Lab (Leadership Charlottesville) program.
