GENEDGE and Virginia Tech have partnered on a U.S. Department of Defense OLDCC-initiated project to develop an action plan for increasing metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) adoption in Virginia’s defense supply chain. The Re-VAMMP project aims to understand the current state and demand for metal AM in Virginia, particularly within the Defense/Aerospace sectors. Its goals include identifying requirements for metal AM suppliers, educating and credentialing independent machine shops, and promoting the broader adoption of metal AM technology.
