Martinsville, Va. – Joshua Dawson has accepted the position of CFO/Business Manager based at GENEDGE headquarters in Martinsville.
This position oversees the Center’s fiscal and administrative activities as well as managing administration of grants and contracts. The Business Manager also coordinates the budget and the operating plan for all offices. Other duties include overseeing the facility security requirements and being informed of new financial reporting requirements within federal, state and private sectors. “I am excited to join an organization like GENEDGE that is full of talented individuals that are passionate about helping Virginia companies grow, compete, and innovate,” Joshua commented on his new role.
Before coming to GENEDGE, Joshua was employed by Oak Ridge Military Academy where he served as the Director of Finance and General Counsel. Aside from his accounting, finance and legal duties, Joshua also was able to teach a business class for over a year while at the academy.
Joshua is a graduate of Liberty University and holds a Bachelor of Science with Double Major in Business Management and Marketing, a Juris Doctor, and a Master of Science in Accounting. In 2016, he obtained his North Carolina State Bar license.
