GENEDGE Promotes Anthony Cerilli to Vice President of Operations

Newport News, Va. – Bill Donohue, President and Executive Director of GENEDGE is very pleased to announce the promotion of Anthony (Tony) Cerilli to the position of Vice President of Operations at GENEDGE. Based out of the Newport News office, Tony will be responsible for executing demand-based customer fulfillment statewide, serving manufacturing, research, development, and engineering businesses as they seek to innovate, successfully compete and grow their respective businesses.

In the Vice President of Operations role, Tony will play a key role in developing and directing a statewide network of practice managers and subject matter experts to better meet the needs of manufacturing and industry in Virginia. He will also oversee all client delivery by GENEDGE staff and third-party providers, which includes project planning to project close. Additionally, Tony will continue to be a key member of the GENEDGE leadership team. “It is an exciting time for the country and the Commonwealth with regards to manufacturing–there is finally the realization that critical manufacturing needs to occur domestically,” commented Tony. “I look forward to continuing to help manufacturers in Virginia to innovate, compete, and grow, keeping and bringing critical manufacturing jobs here in Virginia.”

Prior to joining GENEDGE, Tony worked at Continental Corporation for ten years beginning as an Engineer in Regulator Manufacturing, moving on to Operations Manager of Injector Manufacturing, and finally working as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in Operational Excellence. When he came to GENEDGE in 2009, Tony started as an Engagement Manager and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and transitioned to the Director of National Programs in the fall of 2017. While still acting in this role, Tony also stepped in as the interim Vice President of Operations in November of 2019.

Tony’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Science from the University at Albany, State University of New York in addition to being a candidate for a Master of Business Administration from the College of William & Mary, Mason School of Business. His certifications and trainings include Six Sigma Master Black Belt Training from BMGI Inc., Lean Manufacturing Customized Program from the University of Michigan, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from BMGI Inc., and lastly, a Commonwealth Management Institute graduate.
